WE ALL START SOMEWHERE ,SO START HERE!
To coach,,teach ,assist and liase with the children is one of the most rewarding fulfilling steps you can take in life. You will work along side one of the clubs FA qualified coaches.and then attend a level 1 course to obtain your own qualificaion. You can, if you wish, coach /manage a team of your own within the club or if you prefer assist one of our many qualified managers to run a team. Its all voluntary so in your spare time give something back into your community - grass roots football will be a sorry state without us all helping out.
Its very rewarding and a good feeling knowing you are contributing into their education and at the same time helping our national game from the most important part, the beginning .
Grants are being applied for so that the club can pay for all courses that are attended so that in return it will not only benefit you but all the children in our club.
Dont be an armchair manager come and prove youve got what it takes .!
REFEREES!!, LINESMAN !!,Where do you think they come from ? ,People like us. How many times have you shouted at the tv or on terraces or watching your son/daughter on the line, because you know the rules and they dont!! Well come on then dont talk the talk, walk the walk. There are small sided referee courses, a couple of our good old dads have been on, its only a 3 hr course over one evening. Theres a 3 hr linesman course as well. All very well run, kindly organised by the selkent league in an informal relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Then, for the brave hearted, there is the FA referees course run over a 6 week period 1 night a week in Welling!! Get paid for helping the children. Going rate for an 11 aside game is £20.00. Satisfaction and a swiss bank account, who could ask for more!! ,Dont leave it to the guy or girl next to you, live life on the edge and stand up and be counted. All to energetic for you? Why not help with the admin and running of our club. Help your team, do the match card procedure before each game, be part of our social committee and help us fund raise, apply for grants. Get by on a computer. You could take over your teams web page!! So much to do as we get bigger every year, so dont be shy your help is desperately needed and will be gratefully received, however small a task.
